Naked Among the Elms

So there you are naked among the elms
Looking so sweet and young, delicious.
Eating an apple. drinking Coca Cola.
Your long brown hair falling in cascades
All the way down to nearly your waist.
Raising your head to the sun in your Cassie Nova way.
All alone on this sunny day,
Beads of perspiration on your upper lip,
Your green emarald eyes burning a hole in the sun,
Not a thing to do
But paint you as you are!
Move a bit to the left, bite your lower lip,
Open your big eyes wider
And let the wind cool you
With its shameless breeze
Between your marble legs!
I have a gold lighter
And brown paper cigarettes
From Tunisia I was saving for a special occasion.
I have tubes of acrylic paint
In a variety of colors. What do you think
I am going to do with them?
You just lay there, hypnotized by the butterfly,
Let your body relax, think about the boys
You seduced out in the woods.
Now let me paint you
The way God created you.
Tilt your head all the way back
And cry out in all your wholesome beauty,
Let the raw laughter building up inside you
Come out like a raging tide of restless waves...
